First Proxy Request
Make your first proxy request
Start with an IPLoop account and an API key generated in the dashboard.
The quick start uses an HTTP proxy at proxy.iploop.io:8880, with the API key as the proxy username.
Use a simple IP-check request to confirm the connection before adding it to a larger workflow.
Choose a target country or a sticky session when your task requires a specific location or a consistent IP.
Build the request
Keep the initial request small so you can check authentication and connection settings independently.
The basic connection has three parts:
Endpoint: choose HTTP, HTTPS, or SOCKS5
Authentication: use the proxy credentials from your dashboard
Target: request the URL needed by your application
Check the response
Use the returned status and response to check the connection. Review credentials and protocol settings if authentication fails.
